Sahan is an Asset Management Engineer at Australian Paper. He moved to the Latrobe Valley from Melbourne in 2011 and joined LYP a couple of months later. He enjoys attending LYP events as it's a great way to meet new people, and has made some great new friends in the process. Sahan decided to become a commitee member in 2013 to get more involved in the organisation of events run by the LYP. He enjoys hitting the slopes during winter and bike riding during the summer, so please don't run over him if you see him pedaling by! Sahan also enjoys the occasional beverage and dance at any of the fine local establishments in Traralgon.

Jess is a Lawyer who is originally from the Latrobe Valley. Jess moved to Melbourne to complete her studies and to train with the Australian development squad for badminton. Jess has now returned to the Valley, but that next trip away is always on her mind! Jess joined the LYP and found it a great way to meet people and experience parts of the Valley that she had never seen before. Jess enjoys playing and coaching badminton, travelling, playing guitar and trying new restaurants and bars, particularly in the Gippsland region.

Mardi has always called the Latrobe Valley home. After finishing at Monash University in Churchill, she starting working as an Accountant at RGM Accountants & Advisors. Where she completed the CPA Program. Mardi has enjoyed meeting great new people & exploring parts of Gippsland she has yet to discover, thru the LYP. Mardi has had some great adventures overseas & always thinking about the next trip. Mardi loves cooking, football, Pilates, going to the gym and home renos.
Committee Member- Sarah Brandon
Sarah is an Occupational Therapist/Early Childhood Intervention Professional with Noah’s Ark Gippsland. Sarah was born and bred in the Latrobe Valley, returning after completing her university studies in 2010. Latrobe Young Professionals has provided Sarah with a network of like minded people where interesting and fun events are always just around the corner from professional development to enjoyable group activities. You can catch Sarah rolling around the track as a member of Latrobe City Roller Derby’s Mega Hertz and Team Regional Victoria teams, enjoying trivia and spending time with all of her LYP friends whether it is Friday night drinks, fish and chips in the park or any other activity LYP has to offer.

Ash moved to the Latrobe Valley in January 2015 to begin his career as a vet. He joined LYP in August 2015 and hasn't looked back. It has been a great support network and a source of many friends in the valley. Ash is originally from the UK but spent his formative years in Hong Kong, and the last 12 years in Melbourne. He is an avid photographer and horse rider.
Jess grew up in Latrobe Valley. After completing a 5 year Chiropractic Degree at RMIT the last place she expected to work was back in the Valley. Whilst still having friends from high school around, Jess had enjoyed meeting new people and the many activities LYP has to offer; her favourite is the the annual winery tour. Jess regularly attends the Traralgon Parkrun and loves to travel.
