 Yarra Valley Winery Trip Minimize

Once everyone had filled up on Maccas for brekkie we were off to an early start on Saturday 17th July for the annual Latrobe Young Professionals winery trip, this year to the Yarra Valley.

In our group of 21, the conversations flowed freely as old friends caught up and newcomers were made to feel welcome. A trivia contest on the bus passed some time as we meandered through the hills on the way to our first winery Giant Steps/Innocent Bystander in Healesville, followed by the scenic Tarra Warra Estate. Many wandered through the art museum here which was exhibiting paintings of bushfires, many related to Black Saturday fires of 2009. Onto our third winery, Yering Station where the host was smashed but very entertaining! Punt Road was another winery set in beautiful surroundings.

After quick stop for lunch, Domaine Chandon and St Huberts brought the day of tastings (and spending) to an end. Dinner at the Beaconsfield Pub on the way home topped off a fun and social outing.

Big thanks to Michael for organising such an awesome trip and Ian for his superb bus driving.
