Hi Everyone
As adevertised in the Express, the Latrobe Young Professional AGM will be held next Wednesday (August 3rd). This will be at the Kath Teychenne Centre Breed St Traralgon from 6pm. Everyone is welcome.
All positions on the committee will be declared vacant. So please consider becoming part of this fabulous committee.
If you are interested in nominating for a position or nominating someone else for a position please send us an email at info@latrobeyp.com.au.

We have a new membership form for 2011/12. You can find this form in the documents section of this website.
When you become a member of the Latrobe Young Professionals, you also have the choice of joining the Latrobe Performing Arts for free giving you exclusive offers and updates on events which the LPA hosts.
Remember, if you are a member of the Latrobe Young Professionals in 2010/11, you need to resubmit a membership form to continue your membership.

Hi everyone,
You've been invited to join Latrobe Young Professionals at a Professional Development Night ("Managing Your Future") on Thursday 9 June (6:45pm).
Latrobe Young Professionals has received some sponsorship funding from GHD and Gippsland Dental Group which has allowed us to offer our current members FREE entry to this professional development dinner.
Non members are welcome to attend at cost price of $27.50 (please email RSVP after you've paid)
This event includes dinner and will feature 2 guest speakers. Drinks are not included.
There will also be lucky door prizes.
See attached flier for details about presenters, venue, payment for non members etc.
Members and non members must RSVP before 8pm on 2 June if attending.

The Qu Bah in Morwell has proven yet again to be a very popular venue with over 20 members & friends attending a Latrobe YP dinner and movies night on Wednesday 19th Jan 2011. Many regular members were joined by several new faces which was excellent to see. Enjoying a great meal followed by a movie is always a fun way to spend a weeknight!

Over 20 members and new members joined us on Thursday 16th December for a Christmas party held in Cargo Lounge’s function room.
A great night had by all with many new people joining and coming along to a Latrobe YP event for the first time.
Many of us partied the night away til the wee hours, which seemed like a great idea at the time but not the most sensible thing to do when one needs to get up early for work Friday morning!

Saturday 30th October was Ladies Day at the Traralgon races. 21 members and new members met in the Latrobe young Professionals marquee for an awesome day of fashion, fillies, food, fun and fine company. Many of us had a punt or two (or more) and several came out ahead. Once again the weather was not so kind but the shelter of the marquee protected us from the elements, and kept our endless food supply out of the rain! Always a great day out which will no doubt be on the agenda for Latrobe Young Professional events in 2011.

About 13 of us headed to Cargo on Friday 22nd October to support the Latrobe Regional Hospital’s Absolutely 80s Fundraiser. 80s rock legends; Brian Mannix (Uncanny X-Men), Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera) and Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen) entertained the crowd of about 200 with hits from their groups followed by the DJ playing all the popular 80s hits that ensured the dance floor remained full. Our group got into the spirit of the night dressing inappropriately in 80s fashion (if that’s the right word)! Unfortunately no one else there was dressed in similar inappropriate fashion. We didn’t care, we looked hot and it was fun :)

Evviva Italian Dinner |

Fine food, great company and a fun night out was had at Evviva on 22nd Sept 2010 when 18 members and non-members met for a meal. Evviva’s 10 course ‘surprise’ banquet enabled us to sample a variety of pasta dishes, meat, seafood and finger foods. Once again a well supported event that was enjoyed by all.

The annual Latrobe YP ski trip turned out to be another great day as expected. We had six people brave the early Saturday morning rise to make the trip up to the snow. In about 1.5 hours we were on the slopes where there was a good snow cover and most runs open.
The sun shone through for most of the day with the odd cloud rolling through bringing no snow but quite a bit of wind. There were no broken bones to report which is always a good thing. There were sore muscles in the days that followed though but all part of the experience.
